How do I make a Thanksgivings?

It is that time of year again and some of you out there have either volunteered or have been nominated to host Thanksgiving this year.

But wait you say “I have never done that…my mom always took care of that! Besides she never looked very happy while doing it…why would I want to do this?”

Trust me. It really is no big deal. It’s only one day a year and the things people eat on Thanksgiving could not be simpler to prepare.

First, a word about WHAT people want to eat on Thanksgiving. It might as well be a sacred holiday as far as food is concerned. People want to eat what they have always eaten. These dishes may change slightly depending on where you are regionally or dishes may be added to for the same reason. That being said this is not the holiday to get creative with the main dishes! I repeat! Do not get all Celebrity Chef on your family and expect them to enjoy your “interpretation of the season”.

Stick to the basics!
